Seminars & registration
How to find a seminar or event, register, and reach your access details.
The School’s teaching happens in seminars and special events—many open to the public, some members-only. This guide walks through finding one and registering.
Finding what’s on
- Program is the academic year’s offerings—the teaching seminars, the cartels that have formed, and the standing reading groups.
- Events lists standalone, one-off events—special events, Days of Assembly, Working Days, and scholarly seminar series.
- Calendar shows everything together on a month grid.
Each seminar or event has its own page with the description, faculty, sessions, and pricing.
Registering
On an event page, press Register →. You’ll see the price tiers; the one that matches your role is pre-selected. A few things worth knowing:
- Sliding scale. Some events let you choose your own amount at or above a floor—including, sometimes, zero. None are turned away for lack of funds.
- Covered by tuition. If you’re a tuition-paying member and the event is covered, you’ll see a one-click “covered by tuition” option—no payment needed.
- Free events skip payment entirely and confirm you on the spot.
Otherwise you’ll be sent to a secure checkout. When you’re done, you land on a confirmation page and get an email.
After you register
Your access details—the Zoom link, room, or materials—appear on the event page and in your confirmation email once you’re registered. You can view or cancel a registration from its confirmation page; cancellations are refunded automatically.
Try it now
Browse this year’s program and open any seminar that interests you. Each event page shows the readings, the schedule, the fee, and the Register button, and registering always shows you your price (or your covered-by-tuition status) before anything is charged. If you change your mind after registering, you can cancel from the confirmation page and any payment is refunded automatically.
