Psychic structure, subject, and object of psychoanalysis

Scott McDaniel, Untitled

This seminar sets out from the premise of the centrality the Voice makes in the experience of the speaking being.  As one of the objects of psychoanalysis, the Voice summons a subject whose response is articulated in subjective structure.  The seminar focuses on the clinical consequences of subjective structure in relation to that which repeats and insists in the life, being, and body of the speaking being.

The seminar will adhere to the ways in which structure is a logical response of the subject to the Other of the address as barred or absent, and that this response is articulated to a beyond to the pleasure principle where the Real insists and jouissance is written and not written. The analytic experience ushers the analysand into a transference with a censored unconscious whose object, constructed in the direction and trajectory of the analytic experience, serves as cause of the subject.
