Sex for Structuralists: The Non-Oedipal Logics of Femininity and Psychosis
Contents: Members only
This book examines the structuralisms of Sigmund Freud, Claude Lévi-Strauss, and Jacques Lacan — and particularly the places of sexuality, sexual difference, masculinity, and femininity within them — in order to argue for the radical potential of each. It contends that structuralism makes itself most useful when it engages with the non-Oedipal logics of femininity and psychosis.
